Agbalanze Onitsha USA Honored by Onitsha Improvement Union for Its Scholarship Program

We are delighted to share some wonderful news with our community and supporters. On April 19, 2025, during the grand celebration of Onitsha Improvement Union (OIU) @100 in Onitsha, the Onitsha Improvement Union (OIU) proudly presented Agbalanze Onitsha USA (AOUSA) with the 2025 Community Service Award. This prestigious award was given in recognition of our impactful Scholarship Program, which continues to change lives across Onitsha Kingdom.

This honor is yet another testament to the important work we are doing through the Agbalanze Onitsha USA Scholarship Foundation (AOUSASF) — providing high-quality educational opportunities to underprivileged youth in our beloved homeland.

Transforming Lives Through Education

Since its launch in 2023, our Scholarship Program has sponsored the training of 30 young people from Onitsha in Information and Computer Technology (ICT), empowering them with essential digital skills for today’s world. Additionally, we are currently sponsoring 4 Onitsha indigenes in nursing schools across Nigeria, helping them pursue meaningful careers in healthcare.

These achievements reflect our mission to uplift and invest in our community’s future leaders.
