Agbalanze Onitsha USA is the only Onitsha organization or association in Onitsha Kingdom or diaspora that has instituted an elaborate education empowerment program to help Onitsha youth in Onitsha.
Realizing that education is the cornerstone of the development of any community, Agbalanze Onitsha USA set up a Foundation in 2022, called Agbalanze Onitsha USA Scholarship Foundation (AOUSASF), to raise funds to provide all levels of education to economically-disadvantaged young Onitsha indigenes. The principle behind the formation of the Foundation is simple: "Give fish to a man, and you feed him for one day. Teach a man how to fish, and you feed him forever."
In 2023, Agbalanze Onitsha USA Scholarship Foundation raised funds to successfully train and graduate the first batch of 20 economically-disadvantaged Onitsha youth in Information and Communication Technology (ICT): 13 of the students were trained in Website Design and Development, and 7 of the students were trained in Graphic Design. The ICT students were trained at Innovation Growth Hub Onitsha Branch: The students started classes on August 16, 2023, and graduated in December 2023Below is the list of the recipients of the 2023 Agbalanze Onitsha USA Scholarship Foundation for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and their villages:
